June 2018 Flying Stars (June 6-July 6)
What to Expect
Each month Stars ‘fly’ from sector to sector within a property. Reading these monthly forecasts allows you to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls. Always remember that a month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.
Yang Earth Horse (Wu Wu) in Summer
The arrival of the Horse (Wu) sees us reach midsummer in the 24 Seasons. Even though the weather has been giving us an interesting variety the holiday season beckons. The first day of Wu Wu is June 6, a Yin Earth Snake (Ji Si) day. At this peak of summer Fire is strongest, and its Earth companion is next in strength. Earth will become dry during this season making it difficult for Wood to control. Fire will however help both Wood (helping plants and crops to grow) and Earth. What can we expect for June? This time of the year is weakest for Metal and Water.
In the 24 seasons of the Chinese Calendar June 6-June 21 is known as Planting of Thorny Crops and June 22-July 6 brings Summer Solstice.
Do you have Horse in your Chart? Where does it appear? Do you know its influence in your life? If you don’t know please contact us and we will be happy to send you the information.
Horse has its location in S2 (172.5-187.4) around the compass and represents the hours between 11.00-12.59 in the 12 x 2 hours of the Chinese Zodiac, the hottest time of the day when the ultimate Yang Fire (sun) is at its peak.
Horse is one of the cardinal animals (pure bred if you like) together with Rooster, Rat and Rabbit. They are known as Peach Blossom animals and signify the mid way point of a season (in this case summer). These Peach Blossom animals are associated with likeability and attractiveness.
The Horse is a Fire element animal and it loves being front and centre – being seen. Yang Earth represents stability and nurturing.
In 24 mountains Horse has a clash relationship with Rat in N2 (352.5-7.4). It is part of the Fire frame along with Tiger (Yin) in NE3 and the animal of the year, Dog (Xu) in NW1.
Were you born in the Year of the Horse? What time of day was it? Do you have Horse anywhere in your BaZi chart? Depending on its location (year, month, day, hour) it will have a specific meaning for you. If you were born between 11.00 and 12.59 you can shine brightly. This is the time of day when Yang Fire burns brightest.
If you do not know your Chinese animal year sign please contact us and we will be happy to send you the information including the influence the Horse will have if it appears in your chart.
The only Sum of Ten combination in June appears in the centre (Annual 9/Monthly 1).
The dominant and timely energies of Period 8 (8, 9 and 1 stars) are located in Southeast (8), Centre (9) and Northwest (1) for the year.

NORTH-Annual 5/Monthly 6: Resident Qi 1: The 5 Yellow Star is in residence this year and June brings the Yang Metal 6 Star to visit. 5 Yellow Earth Star is strong in summer so if you are unable to avoid the North area (recommended) take great care of your health and wellbeing. You may find yourself suffering stress related issues here. For the entire year this is a sector to keep quiet and undisturbed to avoid the worst the 5 Yellow can bring forth. Metal is totally ineffective at this time of the year so even though the 6 White Star generally indicates positive outcomes relating to unexpected income or windfalls chances may be difficult to grasp.
SOUTH-Annual 4/Monthly 5: Resident Qi 9: The dreaded 5 Yellow Star moves into the South during June. This Earth element Star is strong in summer and the fire of the area just serves to make it even more intimidating than usual. The 4 Wood Star is generally good for students and writers. They may now however suffer from blocks. Inspiration will likely be lacking this month if you have to work in this area. Illness is also a possibility so keep the sector quiet and if you can move to a different area during June do so, especially if your health is an issue.
WEST-Annual 2/Monthly 3: Resident Qi 7: The West is not an area to see positive energies in June. Clashing elements (Earth/Wood and Wood/Metal) as well as 2/3 combination serve to bring negative Qi to bear. Illness and disagreements are likely effects if the area is activated this month. Finances could also suffer. Keep this sector quiet and if possible do not spend time here in June.
EAST-Annual 7/Monthly 8: Resident Qi 3: While the East has the annual 7 Red Star of Violence to contend with in 2018 June brings the 8 White Star of Current Prosperity to visit. A water feature here will help weaken the 7 Star and activate the 8 Star. It will also help feed the wood element of the East. Work in this area and look out for positive opportunities you can take advantage of during the month.
NORTHWEST-Annual 1/Monthly 2: Resident Qi 6: The annual 1 White Star is joined by the 2 Black Star of Illness in June. The 2 Earth Star is strong this month so issues relating to health are likely. Your wellbeing is paramount so ensure you eat well and avoid excesses. It would be better for pregnant women to avoid this location throughout the month as the energies are not conducive for the welfare of them or their unborn child.
NORTHEAST-Annual 3/Monthly 4: Resident Qi 8: Students will benefit from the energies at play in the Northeast during June. The strong wood energy here however could cause severe stress and disagreements between family members. The positive side is that the innate Earth energy of the area is strong and will help keep the wood under control. Better to err on the side of caution though so couples would do well to avoid spending time together here to ensure their relationship does not suffer.
SOUTHEAST-Annual 8/Monthly 9: Resident Qi 4: Annual 8 White Star and 9 Purple Magnifying Star join forces in June. This makes for a good combination with prosperity opportunities likely. This is a time to be seen so make the Southeast your entertainment or meeting location for the month. There is a chance of misunderstandings between family members so be aware of this and ensure you do not spoil the good energies with disputes. Think before you speak.
SOUTHWEST-Annual 6/Monthly 7: Resident Qi 2: There is an excess of the Metal energy in the Southwest in June. Injury, robbery and conflict could be a side effect of this so keep metal implements away from the area. It will also benefit to keep the sector as quiet as possible. Placing a water feature here this month could help alleviate some of the energies at play. If you are prone to illness it will benefit you to relocate for June.
CENTRE-Annual 9/Monthly 2: Resident Qi 5: 9 Magnifying Star and 1 White Star are in the centre this month. This brings a Sum of Ten combination.
Remember if you leave well alone and do not activate a sector Stars cannot be disturbed and will have no effect on your day to day life. Always check the external environment to ensure there are no negative structures likely to influence the energies of each sector.
