What to Expect
Each month Stars ‘fly’ from sector to sector within a property. Reading these monthly forecasts allows you to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls. Always remember that a month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.
Yin Earth Goat (Ji Wei) in Summer
The Yin Earth Goat (Ji Wei) brings with it the final month of the Summer season. As one of the Storage (Graveyard) animals Goat recognises its position as the transition between Summer and Autumn. The first day of Ji Wei is July 7, a Geng Zi (Yang Metal Rat) day. July will have a strong Earth presence as Goat by nature is an Earth animal and it is an Earth month in an Earth year. Will this bring stability or stubbornness? Fire remains the strongest element with Earth next in line. Metal, Water and Wood have little impact during the hot summer months.
In the 24 seasons of the Chinese Calendar July 7-July 22 is Lesser Heat and July 23-August 6 brings Greater Heat. If you are experiencing the heat as much as we currently are you will wonder how much hotter can it get!

Goat has its location in SW1 (202.5-217.4) around the compass and represents the hours between 13.00-14.59 in the 12 x 2 hours of the Chinese Zodiac.
As one of the Storage Animals together with the animal of the year Dog, as well as Ox and Dragon they are so called because they store one of the Five Elements. In the case of Goats, they store Wood. Each signify the final month of a season.
In 24 mountains Goat has a clash relationship with Ox in NE1 (22.5-37.4). It is also part of the Wood frame along with Rabbit (Mao) in E2 and Pig (Hai) in NW3.

We have an interesting Chart for July in that all the Annual and Monthly numbers are the same. This means good sectors will be doubly good for the most part and bad sectors such as the North (Star 5) will be doubly bad.
The dominant and timely energies of Period 8 (8, 9 and 1 stars) are located in Southeast (8), Centre (9) and Northwest (1) for the year and for this month.
So what can we expect for each of the eight sectors in July 2018?

NORTH-Annual 5/Monthly 5: Resident Qi 1: The North was always going to be an area to avoid in 2018. In July this becomes essential. With 5 Annual and 5 Monthly both in the same sector you really need to take heed. If you have a main door, or any of your important rooms here, do your utmost to move to a different location for July and use an alternative door to enter and leave your house, if possible. Check the external of your North and ensure there are no negative features, or works being carried out that could activate the malevolence of 5 Yellow Star. When you remember that the 5 Yellow Star is Earth element, strong at this time of the year, things could get serious if this area is activated. Do not take any chances.
SOUTH-Annual 4/Monthly 4: Resident Qi 9: Double 4 Wood Stars join forces in the South for July. If you reside in the South you could find yourself attractive to others/attracted to others. If you are in a permanent relationship make sure you focus your attention on your partner to reduce the chance of allowing a third party to cause a rift between you. Students and academics will benefit from the positive effects of the double 4 however you do have to remember that the strong Fire element of the South will weaken Wood. Nevertheless this is generally a positive sector in July.
WEST-Annual 2/Monthly 2: Resident Qi 7: The West is not a good sector to frequent if you are currently pregnant. The strong 2 Earth Star of Illness could cause abdominal issues and at worst miscarriage. If your bedroom is here it may be better to move to another room for the month. 2 and 7 (7 is the resident Qi of the West) together create a He Tu combination producing Fire. This is generally a positive combination that benefits Earth related industries or those looking to make money from assets.
EAST-Annual 7/Monthly 7: Resident Qi 3: 7/7 spends this month in the East. This is generally known as the Star of Violence. It is a Metal element in a Wood location which brings a conflicting relationship however have you ever seen a knife or pair or scissors cut down a redwood? This conflict may possibly have some negative effect on young males. However they could also find themselves talking a lot, networking socially or in a work environment. You might just find yourself talking your way into that contract you have been working towards. Take care of your personal safety if working with Metal objects to avoid injury.
NORTHWEST-Annual 1/Monthly 1: Resident Qi 6: Double 1 in the Northwest – good or good! The Northwest will be one of the best areas in July. 1 plus the home 6 of the Northwest is a He Tu combination producing Water. A lot of Water it is true however this could be a great month for those working in R&D, for example. The only thing to be wary of in this area is the possibility of excessive drinking. If you are socialising make sure you do not over-indulge. This combination indicates intelligence so you could find yourself having a personal breakthrough.
NORTHEAST-Annual 3/Monthly 3: Resident Qi 8: Star 3 is an Aggressive Star. When you have two it doubles the effects. Aggression will be the order of the month so if you are prone to losing your temper on occasions this sector would be an area to avoid. Be careful who you spend time with also, as any negative influences could see you taken along for the ride. Northeast is an Earth area and Wood/Earth share a conflicting relationship however Wood will have little effect on Earth in this particular sector at this time of the year.
SOUTHEAST-Annual 8/Monthly 8: Resident Qi 4: The auspicious 8 White Star of Current Prosperity is joined by…yet another 8 Star. You might think you will become wealthy overnight with this combination especially if your main door or office is here. This is not likely as 8 Star is like the mountain which does not tend to move. Wealth will still come your way however it will be slow and steady. There will not be a sudden influx of money. That being said the Southeast will be a great area to spend time in this month. Wherever the 8 White Earth Star appears is good and even though the innate Wood element of the Southeast has a conflicting relationship with Earth it will not cause negative effects.
SOUTHWEST-Annual 6/Monthly 6: Resident Qi 2: Earth (Southwest) creates Metal in the productive cycle of the Five Elements. This will make the double 6 here very strong. 6 White Star is positive and represents among other things the head of a household/company. Doubling the 6 Star could have the effect of two heads butting causing conflict and division. That being said you may find yourself being the recipient of a windfall or unexpected income with the 6 Star. This is definitely an area to take advantage of however remember to step back if conflict appears on the horizon, especially if you are a leader.
CENTRE-Annual 9/Monthly 9: Resident Qi 5: 9 Magnifying Star plus 9 Magnifying Star = the centre. If you have an open plan environment the centre could shine brightly this month. If you are a spiritual person you could benefit from the energies at the centre of your property in July.
