September 7 (Yin Water Dragon day) is the first day of the height of Autumn.

There are changes in the air and the month of the Yin Earth Rooster brings us to mid-autumn season.

Wherever you are things will be different. In the UK harvesting has already taken place in most areas. With the unusual weather patterns we have had so far this year it has brought equally unusual patterns in nature.

We were picking blackberries at the beginning of August and they were ripe and abundant. In previous years late August was the earliest they were ripe.

So what can we expect from our Rooster this month? As we are now at a time when metal is most prosperous the Rooster is strong. Metal is strong. Rigid and not prepared to give way. We can hope this is not the way the month turns out.

Rooster clashes with the Rabbit this month. Any wood animals (Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon) would do well to be aware they would not win a battle with metal at this time of the year. Dragon may escape however as they have an affinity with Rooster.

Ox, Rooster and Snake create a metal frame. Good for those of you needing metal in your birth chart to give you strength.

If metal is good for you, in September take advantage of either Ox days (9th, 21st, 3rd October) and Snake hours (09.00-10.59) or Snake days (13th, 25th, 7th October) and Ox hours (01.00-02.59 – maybe not quite so practical). Use either of these options to take advantage of the metal frame.

Rooster is the Peach Blossom animal for Dragon, Rat and Monkey animals (together these three create water frame).

Rooster hours are 17.00-18.59.

In Autumn Metal is prosperous, Water is strengthening, Wood is ineffective, Fire is weak and Earth is weakening.

West 7 / 6

Even if you can use metal working in the west in September is not recommended. There is an excess of metal. Known as sword fighting sha this is likely to cause in-fighting for those in positions of power and scheming for those lower down the corporate ladder. It could even result in physical injury caused by metal.

If you have to work in the west it is vital you stay focused and calm to achieve your goals. Letting emotions get in the way will only result in negative outcomes.

Northwest 6 / 5

A negative sector this month which may contribute towards illness relating to the head or brain.

If you are working here you will experience difficulties and negative issues arising. It is important not to delay decisions – this is the way to succeed.

North 1 / 9

One of the best sectors of the month. The sum of ten combination here signifies success through partnerships and collaboration. Work here to maximise the positive energies present to help you achieve your goals.

Northeast 8 / 7

This combination is especially positive for younger people. That is not to say you cannot take advantage of the area. Know what you want, stay focused on your target and refuse to be dissuaded from your path. This is the way to succeed.

East 3 / 2

The combination of yang and yin here can lead to disagreements. Others may not be able to see what you can see however be confident, believe in your dreams and you will succeed.
Wood is ineffective and earth is weak in this autumn season so the effects of this combination will be lessened.

Southeast 4 / 3

This combination is yin and yang wood. Wood has no strength at this time of the year so the benefits of the pair are ineffective. If you are to succeed working in this area it will require strong focus and self belief in your abilities.

South 9 / 8

This is a positive sector inviting celebrations and wealth. While not at their optimum, by taking one step at a time, being meticulous with your paperwork and, more importantly, taking nothing for granted, you will succeed.

Southwest 2 / 1

This negative combination can still cause issues in September. Health issues relating to the stomach or digestive system could manifest. It would be better not to sleep in this location if possible.
