What to Expect

Each month Stars ‘fly’ from sector to sector within a property.  Knowledge is power so use these monthly forecasts to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls.  Do always remember though that a month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.

Its all change as we move into August.  We now say farewell to the season of summer and welcome autumn.  You may be sad to think of this however after the volatility of the year so far it could see a welcome shift in fortunes.  Fire is now effectively trapped and its Earth companion weak.  This means Metal is less influenced by Fire and more by Water.

Yang Earth Rooster sees Metal able to stand tall however always remember that Metal can be a powerful adversary.

This month will aid in strengthening Metal as even a weak Earth can still have an influence.  The home of Monkey is SW3 (232.6-247.5).  Monkey represents the hours between 15.00-16.59 in the 12 x 2 hours of the Chinese Zodiac.  Mid afternoon.

In the 24 mountains Monkey has a clash relationship with Tiger in NE3 (52.6-67.5) and combines with Snake in SE3 (142.6-157.5).  It is part of the Water frame along with Rat (Zi) in N2 and Dragon (Chen) in SE1.   Known as one of the travelling or growth animals  Metal Monkey signifies the beginning of a season and travel, movement, action.  Excitement and change.

Yang Earth Monkey month begins on August 7 and ends on September 6.  In the 24 Seasons of the Solar Calendar August 8-August 23 is Coming of Autumn.  August 24-September 7 is Heat Ends.

In August there are Sum of Ten combinations in the Southeast (Annual 9/Monthly 1) , Southwest (Resident 2/Monthly 8) and West (Resident 7/Annual 3).

The dominant and timely energies of Period 8 (8, 9 and 1 stars) are located in East (8), Southeast (9) and Centre (1) for the year.

What can we expect for each of the nine sectors of the Luo Shu Grid during August?

NORTH-Annual 6/Monthly 7: Resident Qi 1:                       The now strongest element of Metal takes over the North in August.  As well as the auspicious annual 6 White Star (Yang Metal) the 7 Red Star (Yin Metal) heads in for a visit.  If your main door is here take extra care and lock up.  Avoid using Metal tools in the North this month.  Middle sons could be at risk from injury due to the combination here so if your middle son has a bedroom in the North consider moving him for the month.  All the Metal will serve to strengthen the inherent Water element of the North but remember there is such a thing as too much.

SOUTH-Annual 5/Monthly 6: Resident Qi 9:                        Fire and Metal again meet up in the South during August with Earth (5 Yellow) adding to the story.  On the positive side there is the possibility of speculative luck for anyone spending time here due to the 6 White Star.   In general however the negative attributes of this area could bring about stress or overwhelm resulting in possible ill health.  Remain alert and move out if you feel any ill effects.

WEST-Annual 3/Monthly 4: Resident Qi 7:                           Good for academics or students this month the West still remains a location to be wary of.  If you are studying your focus and commitment  together with lack of interaction with those close to you will help see you through August with minimal fuss. Conflict is likely to be order of the month especially between male and female siblings so steer clear if the West is your family room.  The now powerful Metal should be able to control Wood yet remember this is small Metal which is less effective against Yin Wood and totally useless against Yang Wood.

EAST-Annual 8/Monthly 9: Resident Qi 3:                            Another great month for the East with the 8 White and 9 Monthly Stars combining.  Having your office or working in the East will benefit both entrepreneurs and the career minded so why waste this great opportunity?  Always be aware that the East is in conflict with the Grand Duke so by all means work here while remembering not to activate the energies.  No renovations, no banging into walls!

NORTHWEST-Annual 2/Monthly 3: Resident Qi 6:            There is a conflict of energies here in August.  Earth, Wood and the innate Metal are all present.  Arguments, illness and conflict are all indicated.  Be aware in your interactions with others if you are in this area.  Northwest is the location of Qian, the head of the household, the boss and anyone in authority could feel the stress of the clashing elements.  Metal will come out on top by controlling Wood and weakening Earth however this is not the best area.

NORTHEAST-Annual 4/Monthly 5: Resident Qi 8:             With the entrance of 5 Yellow to the Northeast students may find their learning and creativity tested if they study here this month.  Generally a positive area in 2017 August might be a time to leave things alone here as 5 Yellow can bring a lot of baggage along for the ride.  Keep this sector quiet and as undisturbed as possible.  While Wood controls Earth, Earth is the stronger currently so better not take any chances.

SOUTHEAST-Annual 9/Monthly 1: Resident Qi 4:              As the only sector to have a special combination this month the Southeast joins the East as the best locations to spend time in August.  Especially positive for East Group people (Gua 1, 3, 4, 9).  As a West Group person (Gua 2, 6, 7, 8) there is still no reason for missing out on the auspicious energies here.  1-4 (Monthly/Innate) is a positive combination for students or those looking for love. 9-1 can bring many opportunities for business/career people – it can bring you into the limelight.

SOUTHWEST-Annual 7/Monthly 8: Resident Qi 2:            Whilst 7 Red Star is usually regarded as negative, this combination of 7-8 can bring opportunities to increase your wealth.  Whether you are a business owner or in the corporate world if you play clever you can rise above the opposition and come out on top.  Use your gift of speech to talk your way towards more business opportunities.  In an Earth area this Metal and Earth Star combination can give you a solid base to move forward.

CENTRE-Annual 1/Monthly 2: Resident Qi 5:                       In an open plan home or office the 1-2 may bring illness to the fore if the centre is excessively activated.  Take care of your health.
