MAY 2018 FENG SHUI FLYING STAR FORECAST

May 2018 Flying Stars (May 5-June 5)

What to Expect

Each month Stars ‘fly’ from sector to sector within a property.  Reading these monthly forecasts allows you to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls.  Always remember that a month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.

Yin Fire Snake (Ding Si) in Summer

As we welcome Summer (yes, really)  on the Yin Fire Rooster (Ding You) day of May 5 we see the arrival of the Yin Fire Snake.  What can we expect in May?  Well first of all will be elemental changes, with Fire now taking centre stage and Earth gaining strength.  Wood loses its power and becomes weak as the heat of the sun takes over.

In the 24 seasons of the Chinese Calendar May 5-May 20 sees the Coming of Summer and May 21-June 5 brings Small Sprouting.

Do you have Snake in your Chart?  Where does it appear?  Do you know its influence in your life? If you don’t know please  contact us and we will be happy to send you the information.

Snake has its location in SE3 (142.5-157.4) around the compass and represents the hours between 09.00-10.59 in the 12 x 2 hours of the Chinese Zodiac.

The Snake, Monkey, Boar (Pig) and Tiger signify the beginning of each new season, in this case Summer.  They are the growth animals and generally associated with travel, movement and change.  These are the animals that signify excitement and activity, they are the go-getters of the Earthly Branches.

Fire element animals represent being seen.  Yin Fire is the fire of the candle or torch, it lights your way in the dark.

In 24 mountains Snake has a clash relationship with Boar (Pig) in NW3 (322.5-347.4).   It is part of the Metal frame along with Rooster (You) in W2 and Ox (Chou) in NE1.

Were you born in the Year of the Snake? What time of day was it?  Do you have Snake anywhere in your BaZi chart?   Depending on its location (year, month, day, hour)  it will have a specific meaning for you.  Did you know that Yin Fire Snakes born at night will shine more than those born in daytime?  (Candles do not flicker so brightly during the daylight hours)!

If you do not know your Chinese animal year sign please contact us and we will be happy to send you the information including the influence the Snake will have if it appears in your chart.

May shows a Sum of Ten combination in the South (Annual 4/Monthly 6).  This combination usually indicates positive outcomes relating to wealth enhancement when the necessary action is taken at the right time.

The dominant and timely energies of Period 8 (8, 9 and 1 stars) are located in Southeast (8), Centre (9) and Northwest (1) for the year.

So what can we expect for each of the nine sectors of the Luo Shu Grid in May 2018?  Do you know how to superimpose a Luo Shu Grid over the floor plans of your property?  Are you able to identify where your important rooms are located?  If not contact us and we will be happy to assist.

NORTH-Annual 5/Monthly 7: Resident Qi 1:                        Already an area to avoid if possible this year with the 5 Yellow Star in residence May sees the arrival of the 7 Red Star, known as the Star of Violence, making for a potentially volatile combination in the North during May.  If you are able to avoid the area then do so to reduce the risk of activating the negative energies at play.  Is your main door located here?  If so, can you use an alternative entrance this month?  Do you sleep in the North?  Can you use an alternative bedroom this month?  Misfortune and potential injury caused by metal implements or even robbery can be the unfortunate side effects of activating this combination .

SOUTH-Annual 4/Monthly 6: Resident Qi 9:                        There is a Sum of Ten combination in the South this month making it a positive location for residents.  This is one of the best areas to spend your leisure time in May.  Windfall or unexpected money luck could be a fortunate side effect here and may be especially likely for daughters of the family.  There are conflicting energies at play so those working in the South may find their creativity lacking.   Check the internal and external environment to make sure there are no negative influences at work to disturb what is generally a very good location this month.

WEST-Annual 2/Monthly 4: Resident Qi 7:                           Students can benefit from working in the West during May as the 4 Wood Star is moving in for a visit.  Romantic interests could blossom if you are resident in this location – great if you are single and looking for that special someone – not so good if you are already in a permanent relationship.  There is still the potential for illness here with the 2 Black Star.  Take care of yourself however and all will be well.

EAST-Annual 7/Monthly 9: Resident Qi 3:                            Whenever the 9 Purple Magnifying Star moves into a sector it enhances and strengthens what is already there.  The innate Wood of the East is now weak and will be taken down even further by the 9 Fire Star.  The 9 Star controls the 7 Red Star yet at the same time can strengthen the ill effects of the Star of Violence.  Better err on the side of caution in the East this month and avoid activating the area.  Better still if you can leave it alone and move to another part of the house or office it will be beneficial.

NORTHWEST-Annual 1/Monthly 3: Resident Qi 6:            To avoid a situation where arguments become the order of the day you may benefit from having a red lampshade or a red cushion here to help placate the negative energies.  Looking at it deeper the Metal energy of the Northwest strengthens the 1 White Water Star which in turn feeds Wood.  However these three elements are at varying degrees of ineffectiveness during the summer months so will in reality have little influence on the fortunes of the area.  Keep this sector as quiet and undisturbed as possible to avoid activating any negative energy.

NORTHEAST-Annual 3/Monthly 5: Resident Qi 8:             Arguments, losses, disputes can all be a consequence of the 5 Yellow and 3 Jade Star of Disagreements.  Ill health could also result  for those residing here.  If this is the location of your bedroom  you may benefit from moving to another location.  When this is not possible take care to ensure the harmful Stars are not activated by negative external or internal influences.

SOUTHEAST-Annual 8/Monthly 1: Resident Qi 4:              Two White Stars reside in the Southeast in May.  The 8 Star of Current Prosperity and the 1 Star of Distant Prosperity join forces to make the area auspicious this month.  Wealth luck particularly relating to career could be a positive consequence for residents particularly if your main door is here.  With Earth becoming strong in summer the 8 Star especially can bring positive results.  Be on the lookout and take advantage when opportunity knocks.

SOUTHWEST-Annual 6/Monthly 8: Resident Qi 2:            May is a great month for the Southwest with the 6 Metal Star and the 8 White Star together.  Work and play as much as possible in this location to take advantage of the positive energies.  Earth and Metal enjoy a productive relationship and with Earth becoming strong now Summer is here.  Be on the lookout for opportunities coming your way particularly with regard to property transactions.

CENTRE-Annual 9/Monthly 2: Resident Qi 5:       9 Magnifying Star and 2 Black Star are in the centre this month.

Remember if you leave well alone and do not activate a sector Stars cannot be disturbed and will have no effect on your day to day life.  Always check the external environment to ensure there are no negative structures likely to influence the energies of each sector.
