JAN 2019 FENG SHUI FLYING STARS

January 2019 Flying Stars (January 5-February 3)

Knowledge Is Power

Each month Stars ‘fly’ from sector to sector within your home or office.  These monthly forecasts allow you to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls when these Stars combine.  You do this by avoiding negative and maximising positive sectors.  If you have a bad location which is never used it cannot affect you.  In contrast if you have a good sector you never use – now might be a good time to start!  A month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.  Just be aware of what you can expect.  Your animal sign, although more to do with BaZi, will be influenced by the Flying Stars.

Yin Wood Ox (Yi Chou) in Winter

Our Oxen are sitting on Earth.  As Earth animals they will feel right at home there.  Known as Winter Earth animals they signify the final month of the winter season as well as the final month of the Year of the Dog.  Are you happy about this?  How has the Dog been treating you throughout 2018?  It has certainly left its mark on the world of that there is no doubt.

For many of us the month of the Ox is a dark and dismal time after the excitement and glitz of the celebrations just past.  And yet at the same time it brings the coldest and darkest season of the year to a close giving us much to look forward to as the spring season beckons along with a brand new year.

Water is still the strongest element in January and at the same time Wood is increasing in intensity as it looks forward to the season ahead.  This month also has Wood as its primary element.  It is the soft Wood that will find a way regardless of the obstacles in its path.

Ox is known as a Storage (or Graveyard) animal along with the Dragon, Goat and Dog.  They signify an ending.  For the Ox it is the end of Winter and the end of the current year.  Each of these animals stores an element and in the case of Ox it is Metal as well as having an influence over Water and Earth.

January has a sum of ten combination in the Southeast.  Will this bring positive influence to the Dragon and Snake?  This is made up of two Earth element numbers 8 Annual and 2 Monthly.

In the North Earth also plays a significant role in the final month with 5 Yellow Annual (breathe a sigh of relief if you are Gua 1 or a Rat) being joined by 8 Monthly.  The West has 2 Annual and 5 Monthly.  Both these locations may have their share of challenges in January.

The month starts on a Ren Yin (Yang Water Tiger) day and January in general could bring good things to both the Ox (NE1) and Tiger (NE3) born.  The combination of 3 Annual and 6 Monthly brings opportunities for achieving your highest goals.  Meeting new people and networking will bring you benefits and you may find someone appearing who can help you in your endeavours.  Just a word of warning, do not do something blindly; think before taking action.

Rabbit (E2) born have a 7 Annual and 1 Monthly combination.  This is great for those of you in sales.  Whilst opportunities for advancement in work and career may appear it will benefit you to think carefully before taking any action.  Bide your time and wait for the one chance that will bring you a sense of satisfaction.  A word of caution…1 Star can indicate excessive drinking so if you have to interact with others at work or in a social gathering be careful and avoid over-indulging.

So back to the Dragon (SE1) and Snake (SE3)!  How will they fare this month?  The sum of ten is always a positive indicator and despite the 2 Star being known to bring illness you can help prevent this by taking care of both your health and wellbeing.  Minor accidents are possible so exercise with caution to prevent this occurring.  Wealth wise, things look promising so whether working for yourself or others, be on the lookout for opportunities.  With so much Earth influence this could be a good month if you are looking to increase your property portfolio or assets.

Horse (S2) born see a 4 Annual and 7 Monthly combination which is great if you have support and encouragement from those around you.  Love could be in the air so if you are seeking that special someone this could be the month when they appear in your life.  If your main door is in the South you would do well to ensure it is locked when you are out and about.  Take care of your personal items while travelling both locally and further afield.

In the Southwest the Goat (SW1) and Monkey (SW3) have a 6 Annual and 9 Monthly combination.  The key to success here is networking.  Relationships with others will be the step by which you make most progress this month.  There is a chance of heart-related issues with the conflicting energies so balance will be the key.  Do not become stressed and take one step at a time.  The Goat however should act quickly when opportunities present themselves.

Rooster (W2) born sees 2 Annual and 5 Monthly join forces.  This Earth combination brings difficulties for the Rooster so keeping a low profile and learning a new skill will be the key to success.  Sometimes this is the best way forward.  Consolidate and be careful when completing paperwork.  If you can avoid signing anything important this month it will help offset the likelihood of mistakes occurring.  Take care of your health and wellbeing and keep your mood upbeat and positive.  Surround yourself with people who make you feel good.

As we say goodbye (a fond farewell – or not) to the Year of the Dog (NW1) they could find themselves in the spotlight.  The 1 Annual and 4 Monthly star combination is generally an indicator of love in the air.  It is also significant to those who are in the academic field or studying for exams.  This is also true for the Boar (NW3) born.  Whilst your career may not bring much in the way of satisfaction you can use the time to consolidate, work hard and set a path for the future.

Finally the Rat (N2) born will likely be planning celebrations as they prepare to bid a ‘fond’ farewell to 5 Yellow – their constant companion during 2018.  It would be good to say that January will be a time of joy and success however even with the 8 Wealth Star being in the North there is nothing earth-shattering on the horizon.  Too much Earth causes stagnation and that is pretty much the order of the month for the Rat.  Look after your health and avoid making decisions that could negatively influence the months to come.

Do you know your Chinese animal sign?  If not contact us and we will send you the information including the influence the Rat will have if it appears in your chart.  Remember you have four pillars in your Chart (year, month, day, hour) and each one represents a different aspect of your life.

Do you know how to superimpose a Luo Shu Grid over the floor plans of your property?  Can you identify where your important sectors are located?  If not contact us and we will be happy to assist.  The important areas of any living space are the main door, kitchen (stove), bedroom and office/study room.   You can include the balcony in this if you live in a flat or condo.  These are the sectors to focus on when looking at the Monthly Flying Stars.
