July 2019 Flying Stars (July 7-August 7)

Welcome to the final month of summer!

Extremes in the weather during June were prevalent all over the world.  Hottest days on record in much of Europe, hail storms in Mexico, flooding in India and heavy rain in Japan.  Bizarre!

Let us now look forward and welcome the month of the Xin Metal Goat in July.

Goat is one of the storage animals of the Chinese astrological chart.  It stores wood as well as both fire and earth.  It is also called a graveyard animal along with Dog (Xu), Ox (Chou) and Dragon (Chen).  All this means is that it signifies the final month of the current season, in this case summer. 

Ready for autumn anyone? 

This earth element animal represents stability and support.  If you are born in the Year of the Goat can you identify with the following…

• Are you a loner
• Do you find it difficult to communicate with others

Worry not, on the flip side you may be hiding talents and abilities which could benefit you.  Discover what they are, how to use them and you will be the winner.

Fire will now slowly begin to lose its power although it remains the prosperous element.  Fuelled by fire, earth is strong.  

The first day of July, July 7, is a Yin Wood Snake (Yi Si) day.    

July 7-July 22 is Lesser Heat with July 23-August 7 known as Greater Heat in the 24 seasons of the Chinese Solar Calendar. 

If you are born in Year of the Ox you will clash with the animal of the month, even though you are both earth element animals.  Change will possibly be the end result however just remember, not all change is bad!

Annual Star is large number / Monthly Star is small number

There is a sum of ten combination in the east this month.  The annual 6/monthly 4 represents acquisition of knowledge and good leadership skills.  Great for communication and networking.  Two areas with positive star combinations in July are the centre and the west.  Are you able to benefit these combinations?  There are things to consider.  Is the centre of your home or office open to take advantage of the best combination of the month?  Do you have positive external features in the west? 

Beginning in the east with 6 annual/4 monthly combination what can you expect particularly if you are rabbit born or gua 3?  Is your desk or office in the east?  If  you run your own business or work as part of a team this is good for you.  That’s not to say things will be all plain sailing.  There could be problems arising however as long as you are on the ball and ready for anything you will be able to overcome them and benefit in the long run. 

• With negative external features in the east you could suffer from neck pain as a result of this combination.  If you have no access to the external from the east this pairing will be neutralised.

Southeast sees an unfortunate combination of 7 annual/5 monthly joining forces.  Ill health could be an issue, especially associated with the mouth or throat.  Be careful what you consume during July if you spend time in the southeast.  Gua 4 and dragon or snake born be extra aware.  Eat well and stay positive.  Worry will cause undue stress.  Best advice would be to avoid this negative area this month if possible.

• It will be especially important for you to check the external of your southeast.  Negative features will only strengthen this negative combination.  Remember also that snake is clashing the Grand Duke this year. 

South has wood (star 3/annual) and water (star 1/monthly) together in July. Intelligence combined with aggressiveness could make this an interesting month for horse born and gua 9.  Sportsmen and athletes could benefit from the aggressive edge star 3 brings.  Star 1 gives a person the intelligence to make things happen in their career.  Staying focused and remembering you do need the help of others sometimes, will bring positive results to anyone working in the south. 

• Star 3 is wood element which feeds the fire of the south making this area even stronger in July.  Although water has no power during the summer months it could take some of the heat out of aggressive behaviour.  Water feeds wood which in turn feeds fire.  A good productive relationship.

Another area to be wary of in July is southwest.  With a 5 annual/3 monthly combination a person could find themselves spending more money than they have available resulting in financial difficulties. This pairing represents a lack of control and budgeting. If you are gua 2, goat or monkey born, you should think about  handing over the purse strings to someone else for the month. 

• If you are in business you might want to consider postponing any investment opportunities or unnecessary spending as this combination indicates the likelihood of loss rather than gain. 

West has 1 annual/8 monthly combination.  Great right?  Two white stars, both timely, what could go wrong?  You could see negative rather than positive outcomes this month if you go blindly into a money making venture without due diligence.  You must always consider the five elements.  Water (star 1) is controlled by earth (star 8).  8 represents finance and with this pair you could find yourself agreeing to something that goes against your principles.

• If your main door is in the southwest and there is a positive structure in the external you will have auspicious qi entering your home or workplace.  Great for wealth opportunities. 

Northwest has a 9 annual/7 monthly in July.  This will affect gua 6 and dog or ox born.  In what way though?  Star 7 is generally seen as a negative star of violence and danger.  It can be with negative structures in the external, especially if your main door is located in the northwest.  However did you know it also represents the mouth?  This can make you a good speaker who is able to convince others to go along with their ideas.  Great in the business world particularly.

• Star 9 represents happiness and good times.  Combined with the positive side of 7 star you can have great times with friends and family and/or your business deals could have positive outcomes. 

In the north 4 annual/2 monthly combine.  This conflicting pair of wood and earth in a water location could result in stomach issues especially for gua 1 or rat born.  On the positive side 4 star represents learning so if you are looking to lay the foundation of opportunity for the future this is the time to do it. 

• 4/2 combination indicates disputes between females, more especially daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.  Time to think before you speak! 

The northeast has 2 annual/9 monthly combination in July.  2 earth in the earth area of northeast calms down some of the negative illness energy generally associated with star 2.  Good news yes?  9 fire star feeds earth, another positive.  2 signifies property and land so if you are looking for an investment this might be a good area to research.  Gua 8 as well as the ox and tiger can benefit.  As an aside for the ox born remember this is your conflict month with the goat.  Nothing to worry about however there could be changes around the corner. 

• One negative of this combination can be issues with the eyes.  Make sure you take action if you are having eye problems as they could potentially be serious if not dealt with.
