January 2021 Flying Stars (January 5-February 3)
We have finally reached the end of 2020 with one more month of the Year of Rat to survive before we move into Year of Ox in 2021.
So what does this mean for January? Well, surprisingly enough the Flying Stars for January are in the same location as they will be for the entire 2021 year. So its rather like a 13-month year. The only change is the January monthly stars will be joining forces with the annual flying stars giving us a different perspective and outcome for each of the sectors.
It does however mean January gives us a clue as to what we can expect for the rest of the year.
January is the last month of winter before we officially greet the new year and the season of spring, when wood will dominate, water, weaken and fire, strengthen.
Yin Earth Ox (Ji Chou) in Winter
Ox is an Earth animal and known as one of the storage animals together with Dragon, Goat and Dog. They each represent the final month of a season (in this case Winter).
The clash animal of Ox (NE1) is its Yin counterpart, the Goat (SW1). All you Goats out there be aware.
The Ox hour is between 01.00-02.59 a.m.
Interestingly the Ox has a positive relationship with our outgoing animal, the Rat, so who knows, perhaps he might bring something positive to the table this month.
The most auspicious sectors in January are Northeast (sum of ten) and West (star of current prosperity together with star of future prosperity)..
Northeast has 1 white star and 9 star of future prosperity making it ideal for those of you in business for yourself. If you don’t already have a business partner, or partners, this might be the right time to look at collaborating with like-minded individuals. With the right strategy the outcome of this sum of ten can help you achieve your goals now and into the future.
West sees the two stars of prosperity together. 9 fire star enhances the 8 earth star which strengthens the home 7 star. 7 star relates to the ability to talk a good talk and use your verbal persuasion on others to achieve your goals.
5 Yellow remains in the East for one more month however it is also making its presence felt in the Southeast where it will join 6 white star in January.
Continue to be wary in the East as 5 Yellow and 4 wood stars are not a match made in heaven. Anyone using the East may be subject to aches and pains throughout their body.
The Southeast has conflicting energies with metal, earth and wood all vying for supremacy. Technically wood should come out on top as it is now strong and will become more so as we approach the new year. The 6/5 combination brings the possibility of health issues relating to the head/brain as well as difficulties and obstacles, thanks to the presence of 5 Yellow.
South is subject to the Year Breaker and 3 Killings as well as the annual 2 earth star which is joined by 1 water star. Water is still strong so there is the possibility of stomach illness for those spending time here. If you work, or sleep here, be careful of what you are eating and drinking.
Consider this, 2 star of illness is generally considered negative and has a countering relationship with 1 white star which is usually positive. 2 star is strengthened by the fire of the south so better beware here in January.
4/3 in Southwest is a positive combination and helpful pair. It gives an individual the means to resolve issues that may arise. This is particularly good for any of you ladies in positions of power. In this earth area wood will also weaken the inherent illness vibes of the 2 home star.
8 white star in Northwest is positive in January, it enhances the 7 metal star bringing potential good fortune to the younger ones among you. There is the possibility of negative issues arising between the 7 metal (visiting) and 6 metal (home) stars as this combination brings conflict between people in positions of power. As long as you stay focused and determined however everything will resolve itself in the end.
North has the 3 wood star joined by 2 earth star. Conflict and illness could be the unfortunate result for anyone sleeping in this area. This is never one of the combinations we like to see together. While the water of the north feeds wood this in turn controls earth. This can bring illness to the fore. If you have to spend time here take care of your health.
The home stars of each sector, as well as your individual Gua number and Birth Chart will influence these combinations. The above is a generic view of each sector however the results will vary with each person There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to any of this.
