FEBRUARY 2019 FENG SHUI FLYING STARS

February 2019 Flying Stars (February 4-March 5)

What You Should Know

Each month Stars ‘fly’ from palace to palace in the Luo Shu Grid.  These monthly forecasts allow you to benefit from the highs and avoid some of the pitfalls when these Stars combine. You do this by avoiding negative and maximising positive sectors.  A bad location never used cannot affect you.  A good sector never used is a waste – so now might be a good time to start taking advantage of the positives!  A month is at most 31 days so a bad month in an annual good sector is not the end of the world.  Just be aware of what you can expect.  Your animal sign, although more to do with BaZi, will be influenced by Flying Stars.

Yang Fire Tiger (Bing Yin) in Spring

Spring is here!  Is this a joke?  No it’s not but you can be excused for thinking so.  The weather, to put it kindly, is extreme at the moment and about as far away from spring as it is possible to be.  But hey, we are looking at the positive so let’s welcome springtime here and now.  Our Tiger is a Wood animal in a Fire month so Wood is now the dominant element with Fire becoming strong.  The first day of the new month (and the new Year of Earth Pig) begins on a February 4, Yang Water Monkey (Ren Shen) day.

Are you relishing the beginning of a New Year?  We, for one are happy to say farewell to the Year of Dog and looking forward to great things in 2019.

February is the start of the spring season in 24 seasons of the Chinese Solar calendar.  Coming of Spring is the 15 days between February 4 and February 18.

Tiger is a Growth Animal and together with the Pig (these two combine), as well as Monkey and Snake (another combo) they signify movement, excitement and travel.  Do you have any of these in your BaZi Chart?

Annual Star is large number / Monthly Star is small number

There is a sum of ten combination in the central palace for February (8 Annual/2 Monthly).  If you have an open plan property you may be able to take advantage of this positive combination which indicates wealth. However Earth elements together do not tend to move too quickly so don’t expect immediate results.

Earth elements are present in each of their original palaces in February.  2/5/8 will appear in each of Northeast, Centre and Southwest.  This will help alleviate the worst of 5 Yellow however in general these sectors will have little energetic movement.

The Ox and Tiger, as well as Gua 8 will feel this influence in the Northeast.  Goat and Monkey and Gua 2 will feel this influence in the Southwest.

February will be a month for the Ox (NE1) and Tiger (NE3) born to keep a fairly low profile and avoid undertaking anything of importance.  The Annual 2/Monthly 5 is generally a negative combination resulting in obstacles and difficulties.  Illness is a possibility so maintain a healthy lifestyle to ensure this does not occur.

If you are Rabbit (E2) born or Gua 3 focus attention on expanding your social network in February.  This is key to success this month. The combination of Annual 6/Monthly 9 is potentially negative as Fire (9) and Metal (6) have a conflicting relationship.  Make sure you do not get stressed out and under pressure to avoid the likelihood of heart-related issues manifesting.

Dragon (SE1), Snake (SE3) and Gua 4 will have plenty of support from people around you this month. With Annual 7/Monthly 1 in Southeast if you are working in the communications field as a sales person or as a performer on stage you will definitely have the ‘gift of the gab*’ in February.  Just one important thing to remember.  If you are out and about through work or socially you may be tempted to over-indulge as far as drinking alcohol is concerned.  Be aware of this and avoid temptation.

*Gab…to talk continuously, possibly about something unimportant.

If you are a Horse (S2) or Gua 9 you can see all your wishes coming true this month with Annual 3/Monthly 6 combination.  Good luck will be on your side.  This does not mean you should move forward blindly without thought or foresight.  If you do you may find things falling apart and all your hard work will be for nothing.

Back to the Earth element for Goat (SW1) and Monkey (SW3).  The Annual 5/Monthly 8 will bring stagnation to the Southwest.  If you are careless when making decisions you are likely to get something you don’t want.  Take care of your health and wellbeing and be aware of your thought patterns, they may lead you down the wrong path this month.

Rooster (W2) born and Gua 7 have a great combination of Annual 1/Monthly 4 this month.  This is a positive pairing and great if you are studying or working in the creative field.  If you are looking for a relationship you may find romance coming your way in this month of St Valentine’s Day. ‘Love is in the Air’ as sung by John Paul Young in 1978.

The Dog (NW1) and Pig (NW3) have a 9 Annual/3 Monthly pairing in February.  In general this combination in a Metal sector results in conflict.  Fire (9) melts Metal (6) and Metal cuts Wood (3).  This indicates the need for you to be resolute when it comes to decision making.  Success will not come easily so be persistent and don’t give up.  Avoid confrontation with others as disagreements are likely if you spend too much time in this area.

Rat born (N2) and Gua 1 have 4 Annual/7 Monthly for company in February.  If you are looking for success in your personal life or career seek support from others to help you achieve this.  If your main door is in the North ensure you keep it securely locked when you are not at home.  Always better to be safe than sorry.

Do you know your Chinese animal sign?  If not contact us and we will send you the information including the influence the Rat will have if it appears in your chart.  Remember you have four pillars in your Chart (year, month, day, hour) and each one represents a different aspect of your life.

Do you know how to superimpose a Luo Shu Grid over the floor plans of your property?  Can you identify where your important sectors are located?  If not contact us and we will be happy to assist.  The important areas of any living space are the main door, kitchen (stove), bedroom and office/study room.   You can include the balcony in this if you live in a flat or condo.  These are the sectors to focus on when looking at the Monthly Flying Stars.
